Dear Mr James,
I am from the Netherlands and I was on holiday at Bali last month (January 2011).
I am glad I found your website by typing "scam vacation club bali" on google.
When I saw the picture of the lottery ticket, I recognised it!
I can not compare it the one that I had, because that vacation club kept it.
My experience is identical to your story and of the people that send you the e-mails.
I am sure now that I am sucked in to a scam. I signed the membership and paid a deposit.
I should pay the membership in instalments as of this month. Luckily, I don't have a credit card, otherwise I probably
have given my credit card details. And they had taken money of it. Of course I am not going to pay anything!
Me and my family lost € 500, that was the deposit that we paid in their office.
Since I do not have the lottery ticket anymore (to check if these guys that fooled me are the same)
I want to ask you if you ever heard from Regent Vacation Club. I googled that name but there is nothing negative
to be found about them. In fact there is nothing, no information, no experiences from people with Regent Vacation Club.
I am sure that the lottery ticket is the same as yours. Probably these guys are also from Royal Resorts Bali.
The 2 guys from Regent Vacation Club I spoken to are Dutch. But there were "al kinds" of sales men/women.
I do not know where they came from, but they are probably an international group of liars.
Most of the sales men were white, we have spoken to a man who comes from Indonesia, but speaks fluently Dutch and the other one is from Suriname or the Antilles islands and also speaks fluently Dutch.
So I've got these 2 questions:
1. Have you heard of Regent Vacation Club at Bali? Maybe from the people that send you the e-mails.
2. Have you received information from other people in the Netherlands?
Thank you in advance for your response!
Kind regards,
Ette Dualc
