Me and my partner were on a cruise in Goa, India in August 2010 when someone from this resort came up and said that its their 17th anniversary tomorrow and we can win a prize. We took the coupon and got two lucky draw prizes. I always knew that we cant win the laptops or the I Pods, it would be a travel coupon at max. Still we went there.

What came up was nasty. They said that its a presentation for 1 hr which went to 2.5 hrs on a holiday. Imagine losing those 2.5 hrs. Beyond that

1.       None of their resorts was upto the standards. They promised that all of them are gold class. What we saw was a less than 2 Star resort.

2.       Secondly they said we can book anytime we want, when we asked for the documentation, we realized that they had stars over all the conditions meaning nothing was without condition.

3.       When i asked for a price, they were not ready to disclose it

4.       I asked them to show me the gold class certification and they did not have that at all.

5.       In a gold class resort you have health clubs and spa and at least a Jacuzzi in the washroom. They had none. When asked about it they said all of it is under renovation

6.       When i refused to pay up they said that they cant provide me the transport to go back.

7.       When threatened to goto police their manager came up and tried to manhandle me.

It all looked like a scam. I have put a complain to economic offences wing and i am sure they will take a measure against them.
