Thanks for setting up the website. I am embarrassed to say that we came across this site too late. We had a similar experience in Bali and we were led to believe we were purchasing a proportion of a hard asset. It was unclear in the presentation of the relationship between Royal Resort and ICE and RCI, etc etc and the nature and amount of the on-going membership and maintenance fees. I came across your web site during my research.

Unfortunately we have paid the deposit but are yet to pay the balance. We have thought carefully and more realistically about our ability to go on holidays and realise this scheme is not really for us.

My question is whether anyone in a similar position has contacted you (ie paid a deposit only) and has subsequently been able to get out of the contract and if so, how and their experiences.

I can accept that we would lose the deposit, but am trying to minimise the damage and would appreciate any advice you can direct me to.

I expect a call from their customer relations today (17 April) and want to express my concerns to them to see their response.
